What is an audiologist?
An audiologist is the professional who specializes in the identification and prevention of hearing problems and in the non-medical rehabilitation of those who have hearing problems. An audiologist has a master's degree or a doctoral degree in audiology from an accredited college or university and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and/or a state license in Audiology.

HEARING AIDS. Hearing aids are meant to be of benefit for hearing-impaired persons of all ages. However, this does not mean that everyone with a hearing problem needs a hearing aid. Hearing problems differ and a person's needs depend on the nature of the hearing loss and the communication impairment. This is why a thorough evaluation by a certified audiologist who is trained and qualified to advise each individual case is warranted.

Payment for Services

Bay Audiology Services, Inc. accepts cash or personal checks as payment for services. Effective December 1, 2006, Bay Audiology Services offers CareCredit- a convenient payment program which, in most cases, allows the patient 6 to 12 months interest free. We will be happy to discuss possible financial arrangements. Payment for services is due when rendered and there is a $30 fee for returned checks.
